It's amazing how all of a sudden certain things become indispensable in our lives. In my case, it is the salad spinner because there is nothing more unappetizing than soggy lettuce.
Some believe "Agdá" is a word of African origin that refers to clay pots used to cook and serve food. Others believe it to be a variation of the Portuguese "alguidar", a platter made of clay, metal, plastic etc, that have a wider diameter on the top. It is also the name of a restaurant in my hometown Salvador, Brazil.
